Chafing oil lines

Whilst fitting engine bars today, noticed one of the oil lines between the sump and the oil cooler had chafed quite badly where it runs over the top of the water radiator, bike only done 550 miles..got to be worth a quick check of your respective bikes to see if you have got the same problem....

Easily accessed on left hand side of bike, remove the panel with the 'Multistrada 950' logo and oil lines are clearly visible..I have done a temporary fix by padding out the oil line from the radiator using some high density foam block..

Bike in for its first service next week, so hopefully dealer will get it sorted..

Tanks for the heads up! Wonder if we can wrap it with something to prevent chafing of the actual line.

Yea I have the same. I zip tied a plate of aluminium between the line and the top of the rad. Been ok so far. Bad design as the pipe is too short in my opinion, leaving no room to go around the rad
