Cool First Italian bike

Hi,

The 950 is my first Italian bike. My 9th motorcycle. Previously owned BMW tourers, and a Yamaha cruiser. Currently own 3 Hondas, 1 Triumph and my newest Ducati.

Been riding for 48 years. Most of my riding is distance, with wonderful twisties interspersed. Looking forward to this machine.

I am not a great rider, but have managed 109,000 miles thru the years.

Welcome. I think you made a great choice if you are riding for distance and twisties. I never imagined myself buying a Ducati before this but the more I looked at the 950 the more I realized it fit what I was looking for. Hope you have lots of enjoyable rides.

What have you got your eye on so far?
I'm not the best rider either and river beds are liable to tip me over, but riding with what you're comfortable with is great.

Keep us posted on what accessories interest you most, although right now its sort of easy to guess what a new owner might get.

Haven't been on in a while.

I opted for these accessories: Puig engine guards, Ducati low seat, Clearwater Darla driving lights, and an aftermarket tail rack for my Givi traffic case.

I managed to ride about 1800 miles this summer before dropping her. Dislocated a toe and scratched the underside of the left bag, the left bar handguard and the clutch lever. All is fixed.

My toe injury robbed me of a month and a half of riding time.

My first Italian bike also. Ridding 35 years member of the 100k club working on the 200K. Would love to have a bike collection, but money and space are limiting factors. Working on it, I cant sell my 1999 Dyna FXDR. My 2018 950 MTS is my 6th bike, and I think it will end up as my DYNA cant part with it.

But you never know.
Welcome
