Indian Market Huge Sales

So apparently there's a ban on the sales of BS III cars and bikes that got imposed in India on the 29th of March 2017 and it's effective tomorrow I believe? Anyhow, main thing is, major companies, including Ducati, are selling their products with MASSIVE discounts.

Quote:
Coming to the Italian bike maker Ducati, the company is offering discounts of upto INR 2.7 lakh on its range of motorcycles. The Ducati Monster 821 is available at a discount of INR 2.7 lakh. The bike is currently sold at INR 11 lakh (on road), in place of the actual price of INR 13.7 lakh. The iconic, Ducati Scrambler Urban Enduro is available at a discount of INR 2.5 lakh, at INR 8.3 lakh (on-road Mumbai), instead of the earlier price of INR 10.8 lakh (on-road Mumbai). Ducati dealership in Delhi is offering a discount of INR 2 lakh on the Ducati Diavel, which is now available at INR 15.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), while the Ducati Scrambler Urban Enduro is offered at a discount of INR 1.7 lakh, at INR 6.8 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
1 Lakh is approximately $1500 USD. So a 2.7 Lakh discount is quite a large amount of money off!

well its sure better to move that product than to sit on it and wonder what to do next, great for people living their as they get away with a steal of a product.

A steal is definitely what was going on down there. Would actually really be interested to see what the sales were like and how much product was moved.

Yup. The same can be said for just about anywhere else getting the 950 since its $6k USD cheaper than its bigger version but still packs a lot of what we need. Some people actually like it more, that alone says a lot.

That's the best way to look at it. A lot of people would think just because it doesn't say "discounted", they wouldn't be content with it. But when you compare it to the other bikes, it seems like a steal at MSRP

I can't speak or other bikes from other bike makers but looking vertically at what Ducati offers, that really puts it in perspective since now we're looking at what we might a have went for if that was you, then the 950 is a big win.
