Multistrada 950 Winter Adventures

A certain sense of freedom comes with riding a two wheeled vehicle, but if you live in the northern hemisphere then that feeling is all too fleeting. Some may choose to winterize their Multistrada 950 once the temperature drops to a certain point, but Ducati wants to show us that their adventure bikes are ready to tackle any season.

Partnering with Warren Miller Entertainment, Ducati released a short thirty second film called "Line of Descent". Featuring the new Multistrada 950, two athletes takes us on a journey through the winding roads of Beartooth Highway and snow tipped mountains above 10,000 feet to ski trails less traveled by. Kalen Thorien and Mike Shaffer rides through Montana and Wyoming with skis and parachutes in tow, searching for the ultimate adrenalin rush.

Jason Chinnock, CEO of Ducati North America , told PowerSports Buisiness that “Motorcycling shares a spirit similar to that of skiing and snowboarding, one of adrenaline and a love of the outdoors.” Most likely aware of how short the riding season is for some enthusiasts, Chinnock thought this “was an excellent opportunity to show how versatile Ducati motorcycles can be, all-year-round.”

Unfortunately, if you wish to recreate their adventure you’ll need to DIY a ski/snowboard mount because Ducati doesn’t seem to be offering one for the Multistrada 950.

Heated grips might be nice. Wonder when they'll be supplied.

If you really want them then you'll have to upgrade to the touring package. Aside from that i don't know much else. Ducati has been quite on it. The rest is up to our own investigations.

I'll be getting them fitted next Monday on my way to MotoGP Philip Island. I'll let you know how they are after riding through the Australian Alpine Region.
