Tank bag

What tank bags are being used? I am not sure I want the tank lock type, but wanted to see what other owners are using?

Iíve got the SW Motech Engage bag on mine. You may not be crazy about the tank ring type bag, but it sure makes it easy to swap back and forth between this bike and my R1200RS. Just put a ring on each bike. I like that it doesnít actually contact the paint on the tank and follows the contour well.

I have the Givi tanklock. Hard to beat the locking ring type if you are taking the bag on and off all the time. I really like the look of the SW Motech above.

Ok, thanks for your input. I am investigating several right now, but have not ruled out the tanklock models.

I Have the small GIVI tank lock. THe problem is the bar hits the release lever on full lock and the ignition key is hard to reach. Other than that it works well.

I have the same bag and agree with you regarding the ignition key. I don't have the problem with the bar hitting the release lever though. Perhaps you could slightly adjust the bar.

I started to adjust the bar and realized it was not the bar hitting but the radar detector mount I put on it. I will have to find and alternative mount. If I raise the bar so the mount does not hit the Givi then the radar detector hits the windshield.

After fiddling with the bar, the radar mount and the mirror mount I managed to get everything set up so neither the radar detector or the givi release make contact at full lock.

I get more irritated by inaccessibility of the key. But upside is it has inbuilt USB ports so you can charge the phone on the move.
